The spectacular hand forged blade of the katana has been constructed from thoroughly hardened 1065 high carbon steel. Its blade forged on the opposite side than normal, making it a sword ill-fit for killing just as the one carried by Kenshin. The handle is made from sturdy wood with a faux ray skin same, double mekugi and a leather ito wrapped in a traditional Japanese style. Its hilt is without decoration and set in a simple, ovular black steel handguard and the sword itself is worn in a black wooden scabbard or saya.
